BUBWITH LEISURE CENTRE, SELBY
In 2018 we were given the opportunity to quote for the external refurbishment of Bubwith Leisure Centre in Selby.
Bubwith Leisure Centre is around 30 years old and in real need of modernising. Problems with the building included failing internal gutters and curved eaves as well as some very dated cladding, meaning a full renovation was required. One year later when the funding was in place we were on site.
We firstly removed the wall cladding and fabricated the steel work to create more modern, angled eaves as well as creating several new window openings.
We then removed the solar panels to allow us to over-clad the roof using Foregales F200R roof sheet. Over-cladding the roof also allowed the Bubwith Leisure Centre to carry on functioning internally.
The wall cladding was then installed. The architect specified Tata Microrib insulated panels in anthracite and white. Cedar cladding was also used above and below the windows.
The project was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.
